Curry Nations: Affordable Weekday Lunch Buffet and Special Mangalorean Weekend Menu

Curry Nations is a great place for both corporate and private events with their affordable buffet, lunch menu, and 1 for 1 beer, whiskey, or vodka

Mangalore is an area that holds a collection of ethnic groups from the South-Western part of India. You can hardly find authentic Mangalorean food in Singapore, but there is one place around Biopolis that serves a special Mangalorean menu during the weekends. The restaurant also has an affordable weekday lunch buffet, and also serves North and South Indian cuisines around the clock.

We’re talking about a new Indian restaurant called Curry Nations.

Curry Nations is a new restaurant headed by a chef with more than 40 years of cooking experience. They have a weekday lunch buffet with an affordable price of S$14, a weekday set lunch menu of S$7, and also has 1 for 1 beer, whiskey, or vodka for S$10. It is a great place for company functions and other small gatherings.

The restaurant also serves various Mangalorean foods that are hard to find around Singapore. During the weekends, you can stop by the restaurant to try foods like Mangalorean Chicken Sukka (S$14), a dish of chicken marinated in Mangalore chilli spice powder and cooked in thick coconut milk gravy. You can also try their Mangalorean Fish Curry (S$15) which consists of fresh fish simmered in ground coconut paste, tamarind, and spices.

The restaurant serves a notable collection of Mangalorean, North, and South Indian cuisines in their menu

It wasn’t the weekends when we were there, so we got to try out their other cuisines in the menu. We most notably liked the Chicken Tandoori. The chicken was well marinated withyogurt, lemon juice, and spices. You can get the chicken tandoori in quarter, half, or full options with the pricing at S$8, S$15, and S$25 respectively.

We also tried their Chicken Tikka (S$12), which is marinated with spices and yogurt, and baked to a traditional Tandoor oven. It wasn’t a choice of dish we would regret ordering because the spices and yogurt that was marinated into the chicken gave it this juicy and spicy consistency.

With the option for such an affordable buffet, and their strong repertoire of Mangalorean, North, and South Indian food, Curry Nations is a great place for both corporate and private events.

You can find Curry Nations at 21 Biopolis Road, Nucleos, #01-05, S(138567).
